Professor John Rudd
Following a commercial career in senior business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing roles, John commenced his PhD studies in 2000. At WBS, John is a Professor of Marketing, Marketing Group Chair (for the past 9 years), and Assistant Dean for faculty matters. He serves on the Editorial Boards of the European Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Marketors, a City of London Guild. His research is published widely in academic journals, and he co-authors the best-selling "Marketing Strategy and Competitive Positioning" book, now in its 8th edition. Current research projects explore issues of strategic marketing, digital marketing, top management team decision-making, sales management and leadership. John has received numerous awards for undergraduate, postgraduate and executive teaching, and very much enjoys working with organisations of all sizes, on "real world" problems.
