Sarah Qian Wang joined Warwick Business School in 2012 as an Assistant Professor of Finance. Sarah holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Hong Kong, an MSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol in the UK, and a Bachelor of Finance from Northwest University in China. During her Ph.D. study, she spent one year at NYU Stern as visiting scholar. Her current research interests are in credit risk, credit default swaps and corporate finance. Her papers have been presented at conferences organized by the American Finance Association (AFA), the American Economic Association (AEA), and the European Finance Association (EFA). She received the best paper awards from the Financial Management Association in 2009, the 20th Annual Conference on the Theories and Practices of Securities and Financial Markets (SFM) in 2012 and Northern Finance Association Annual Meetings in 2014.
