Warwick's Gateway to Business

Enhance your degree by studying a range of business-related modules at WBS

Why study WBS modules?

We offer lots of opportunities for cross-curricular study at the University of Warwick. If you study an undergraduate course outside of WBS, you have the opportunity to supplement your degree by studying a range of business-related modules.*

At WBS our world-class academics have developed a set of gateway modules in Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Accounting introducing you to the key foundations of business. Our gateway modules provide you with the flexibility to tailor your degree and explore new subject areas.

Some courses outside of WBS also offer students the opportunity to study a more coherent programme of WBS modules and graduate with a ‘with Business and Management pathway' award*.

To achieve this pathway award, you must successfully pass a total of at least 90 credits of WBS modules. These must be comprised of :

  • At least three Gateway modules (45 credits)
  • Up to three further WBS modules (totalling no less than 45 credits)

These can be studied in any permitted combination (prerequisites may apply).

Through the 'with Business and Management' pathway award you will also have the added benefit of potential specialisation. For example, after completing your ‘Gateway’ modules, students may choose to study further modules in a single subject field, like marketing, digital business, entrepreneurship, accounting or finance.

Whether you are seeking to enhance your employability, add a new dimension to your degree, or simply want to explore a new area of interest, WBS has a range of elective modules for you to choose from.

*You should check with your home faculty’s Undergraduate Programme Office to ensure you are eligible to study WBS modules and/or pathway as part of your degree.
