Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace: A Pragmatic Approach

Are you looking to explore how you can support and leverage Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) at an organizational, team and individual level? In addition to enabling a more connected and meaningful work environment, firms who embrace diversity and inclusion stand to benefit from it strategically and competitively too.

Diversity and Inclusion is a wide topic, and as the first Social Learning event in this area, we look to particularly focus on Gender and Ethnic Diversity.

This Diversity & Inclusion event will be the third webinar in our newly launched WBS Social Learning Series. The initiative is aimed at providing online peer-to-peer sessions primarily for our MBA students, and also open to our MBA alumni, to share experiences and perspectives and learn from each other.

The event will be presented by Christine Akrofi, who will moderate an insightful discussion on D&I. Christine has over 10 years of experience in Aerospace manufacturing industry and supply chain, currently acting as an Aerospace Regulatory Manager for ADS Aerospace and Defence Trade Association. She is a strong believer in increasing gender and ethnic diversity within the strategic leadership teams and boards in a usually traditional engineering environment.

The session will:

  • Provide an understanding on what Diversity and Inclusion is
  • Explore the root cause for the lack of D&I
  • Highlight the interplay between culture, D&I and behaviour
  • Assess how inclusion empowers diversity
  • Approaching D&I from an Organisational Strategic perspective

Join us for exploring and a better understanding of approaching Diversity and Inclusion in the work place from an individual, team and organisational perspective from our DLMBA peers!
