I am studying BSc Accounting and Finance. When choosing a degree I was looking for something combining Accounting with other disciplines. After conducting some research, I ended up applying to Warwick Business School, as the course offers a variety of modules you can choose from and WBS is one of the best business schools when it comes to work opportunities after graduation.
The different techniques used in teaching as well as the lectures, seminars and group work within each module all offer different but core qualitative characteristics that can help an individual strive in their chosen industry. I enjoy my modules as each of them challenge me in a different way and the communication with my classmates, tutors and lecturers have helped develop my skillset and knowledge.
Additionally I am a member of a few societies on campus for example the Salsa Society, the Opera Society and the Cypriot and Hellenic Society, which involves meeting people from my home country. Joining these societies helped my transition when I first arrived at the University of Warwick, and I would recommend future students make the most of the many societies and sports clubs that are available on campus. I had the opportunity as a first year to live on campus and then in my second year to live off campus. This change has given me a taste of the different responsibilities that need to be taken care off while living away from home. So far, I am enjoying every moment of student life here.
