Meet the Alumni Careers Manager

Alumni Careers Manager, Konstantina Dee, shares insights from her role and the personalised one-to-one support she provides to alumni as they navigate their career journeys post-MBA.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your role in the team? 

I am the Alumni Careers Manager at Warwick Business School (WBS), where I coach a diverse cohort of alumni on their career journeys. I have worked in UK university careers services since 2005. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have completed both my undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in business schools (I wish they were as good as Warwick).

I consider myself a team player and I love when I am involved in workshops and sessions for current WBS students, helping them develop the skills and confidence to achieve their career goals.

I am part of the wider CareersPlus and Employer Relations team at WBS and also work closely with my colleagues from the Global Alumni Engagement team.

What does the CareersPlus Team do, how does it support our MBA alumni? 

I support granduands and graduates through personalised careers consultations and e-guidance and the great online resources available to them through WBS. I work with internal and external facilitators to offer workshops; recent examples include Negotiating your Worth: Successful Salary Negotiation and Personal Branding Masterclass.

Can you share your proudest moment as part of the team with us?

A key priority for me as the Alumni Careers Manager at WBS is to provide warm and personalised support to our diverse alumni community. Drawing on my extensive experience in university career services, I have developed a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals at various stages of their professional journeys.

One of my proudest achievements was successfully leveraging our alumni network to secure distinguished keynote speakers for the annual MBA conference. Witnessing these accomplished professionals share their expertise and inspiring stories from the stage was immensely rewarding, as it showcased the strength of our WBS community and provided invaluable insights for current students.

Through active outreach and one-on-one coaching sessions, I strive to forge meaningful connections with alumni. It brings me immense satisfaction to witness their growth and success, whether that manifests in securing a fulfilling new role, navigating a career transition, or accessing invaluable networking oppotunities.
