Our alumni share their advice and insights into how to shape a memorable and meaningful time here at WBS whilst studying your Masters course.
What has been your standout moment during your MSc?
Tia: I bridged the gap between cultures in a group project, realising that diversity is not just about differences, but about creating synergy and understanding – that was a defining moment of triumph and unity.
Nithin: I would say exploring Triumph Motorcycle's operations on a trip with my cohort, it definitely sparked an interest in the business happenings at the organisation, it was a great inspiration and greatly enhanced the learning experience.
Nityanshee: Warwick’s sunsets. They are a breath-taking symphony of colours that just leaves you in awe. The lush greenery surrounding the university is one of its best features, it always invites you to just embrace the beauty of nature.
Joshua: Travelling abroad to Finland with the International Management module of MSc Management, making priceless memories throughout the entire trip.
How would you summarise your experience?
Nityanshee: Throughout my time at Warwick, a key highlight has been having the experience enriched by the diverse mix of backgrounds and perspectives amongst my fellow students which really fosters a vibrant academic community.
Juanita: Learning, learning and more learning! Inside the classroom and out, since I’ve been at university I have not stopped developing.
Tia: My time at WBS has been like a rebirth. The insights gained have not only fuelled my growth but also inspired a bold pivot in my career path, leading me to newer territories of opportunity and innovation.
Joshua: I’ve experienced a well-rounded degree offering a wide variety of modules, extracurricular events and activities to develop the skills required to succeed.
Nithin: WBS fuels the curiosity by blending learning with real-world insights.
Do you have a piece of advice for future WBS students?
Juanita: Don’t waste time! Ask questions, make sure you do the networking and take every opportunity you can to grow – it’s the best piece of advice I can give.
Tia: Embrace the journey with the knowledge that every staff member at Warwick is rooting for your success; seize every resource, every piece of advice – they’re the stepping stones to achieving your aspirations.
Joshua: Prepare yourself for an adventure and challenge; a multi-disciplinary journey to broaden your horizons within the business world.
