The unique advantages of blended learning in the Accelerator MBA
Accelerator MBA participant Ritika Saini shares her positive experience with the programme's unique 80/20 blended learning format.
I have been wanting to pursue an MBA for many years however it never felt like the right time to pause work to study. I have always been sceptical of online MBAs as I value classroom interaction – the debates and face-to-face group work are a core part of the learning experience for me. That’s why, when I heard about the Warwick Business School (WBS) Accelerator MBA, with learning taking place both at WBS London, The Shard, and online, I knew it was the right option for me. This MBA isn’t about accelerating through the course, but rather accelerating career growth through a thoughtfully designed programme.
The MBA is taught 80% in person and 20% online – this format strikes the perfect balance, allowing me to continue working and so having the opportunity to immediately apply classroom theory to real-world challenges. The 80% in-person component unfolds in intensive 3-4-day blocks, maximising learning and networking opportunities. The remaining 20% takes place online in the evenings, offering flexibility without sacrificing engagement.
Warwick's intuitive online platform, my.wbs, is central to this seamless experience. It's a centralised hub for everything – course materials, assignments, recordings of online sessions, discussion forums, career resources, and more. The ability to revisit recorded online classes is invaluable for reinforcing complex concepts.
A global network
The blended format attracts a remarkably diverse cohort. My classmates come from all over the world – Italy, Switzerland, even Hong Kong – bringing rich professional and personal experiences. This global perspective enriches every discussion, challenging my assumptions and broadening my understanding of international business.
Apart from my immediate cohort, WBS also has a global alumni network who are actively engaged and are invited to join panels and events hosted at The Shard. These interactions provide invaluable industry insights and mentorship opportunities.
The Warwick difference
Warwick Business School has thoughtfully curated a blended learning experience. The 80/20 model leverages the strengths of both in-person and online learning, resulting in a dynamic, engaging, and highly effective MBA programme. For anyone considering a blended MBA, I highly recommend exploring the Warwick Accelerator MBA. It's an investment in your future that delivers both immediate impact and long-term career acceleration.
