Final-year student, Olimpia, shares her experience studying at WBS and why she would recommend this course.

As a final-year student in BSc Management with Entrepreneurship at Warwick Business School (WBS), I can confidently say that this degree has been a transformative experience. It has aligned perfectly with my career aspirations while providing incredible opportunities that go far beyond the classroom. If you’re considering studying Management, here’s why I would recommend this course.

Tailored to your ambitions

A key strength of the BSc Management is its flexibility. The course allows you to shape your learning journey to suit your interests and career goals. For instance, I chose the Entrepreneurship pathway due to my passion for start-ups and innovation, but I was also able to explore areas like marketing, which is another field I’m keen to pursue further through a master’s degree.

Additionally, the ability to take modules from other departments allows you to gain interdisciplinary insights, whether you’re interested in digital innovation, psychology, or data analytics. This freedom to customise your degree makes the learning experience engaging and highly relevant to your future aspirations.

Student-centric and evolving curriculum

One of the unique aspects of the BSc Management course is its student-centric approach. Each year, WBS gathers feedback from students and applies improvements to modules to ensure they remain relevant, effective, and engaging. This continuous refinement means that the course evolves to meet student needs and industry demands.

For example, new modules are often introduced to keep the curriculum in line with current trends, such as sustainability, data-driven decision-making, and digital marketing. This focus on adaptability ensures that students graduate with up-to-date knowledge and skills that are immediately applicable in the workplace.

Unique opportunities: Undergraduate Careers Bootcamp with LVMH

One of the most memorable highlights of my degree was attending the WBS Undergraduate Careers Bootcamp at The Shard, organised in collaboration with LVMH. This unique event combines networking, professional learning, and hands-on experience in one of the world’s iconic venues.

The day began with an inspiring visit to the LVMH headquarters, where I had the opportunity to meet professionals and gain valuable insights into the luxury goods industry. In the afternoon, we transitioned to the WBS office at The Shard, where, working in teams, we collaborated to develop and present a marketing concept to the LVMH HR team. This experience allowed me to apply what I had learned in class while building real-world skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and pitching ideas to senior professionals. Opportunities like this are what set WBS apart—they bridge the gap between academia and industry in a meaningful way.

A global and diverse community

The international nature of WBS creates a truly dynamic learning environment. Being part of a diverse cohort exposes you to different perspectives and ways of thinking, which is invaluable in a globalised business world. Whether collaborating on group projects or discussing ideas in class, this diversity fosters creativity and a broader understanding of the world.

Beyond the classroom, the global WBS network—including alumni and professionals you meet at events like The Shard boot camp—provides connections that can benefit your career long after graduation.

A foundation for any career

Management is a foundational skill that is relevant across industries, making this degree incredibly versatile. Whether your aspirations lie in marketing, entrepreneurship, consulting, or launching your own business, the BSc Management equips you with the tools and knowledge to succeed.

The combination of academic learning, practical experiences, and networking opportunities has prepared me for a career in marketing and entrepreneurship, giving me the confidence and skills to navigate a competitive business landscape.
