Careers support and coaching
Pre-arrival support
Even before you arrive at WBS, you'll have access to our MSc Careers Summer School. This will involve four career induction presentations, introducing you to the fundamentals of understanding yourself and the market to devise your job search strategy, crafting successful CVs and cover letters, how to stand out in the recruitment process, and how to succeed in interviews and assessment centres.
These online sessions will be backed up by the WBS Career Guide – a comprehensive series of 30 videos, available pre-arrival, taking you step-by-step through your job search – as well as access to 1-to-1 online career appointments with our team of careers coaches, who have specialist knowledge of a range of industries and who can offer you guidance and coaching even before you arrive at WBS.
International careers
The International Excellence Program organised by WBS International Careers Manager provides you with international careers resources and expertise, such as global job opportunities, international careers fairs, bespoke international company visits/treks and employer-led professional development.

WBS provides a wide range of online career resources to give you an edge in your job search. These include:
• VMock CV-checking software: upload your CV and receive a score out of 100, as well as in-depth feedback on every bullet point in your CV in a matter of seconds
• Online jobs board: bespoke job boards filled with employers who are actively targeting WBS students for job opportunities
• Online test practice: WBS provides you with access to GraduatesFirst in order to be able to better understand and practice succeeding in the online tests used by graduate employers, including numerical tests, as well as psychometric and gamification
• Shortlist.me: to experience AI pre-recorded interviews such as those commonly used by companies
• CaseCoach: to guide you in preparing for consulting case interviews
• Identifying companies who sponsor international students: access to an online job board focused on providing opportunities for international students applying in the UK.
