Warwick Business School has retained the top position for pure Finance Masters courses in the UK, and climbed to second place for joint subject Finance courses, just behind Oxford University.
The rankings of pre-experience Masters in Finance courses have been published by the Financial Times.
WBS is one of only five UK schools placed in the global top 25. This year the rankings included 45 schools, 11 of them based outside Europe and the UK.
Dean of WBS, Professor Mark Taylor, said: “In a challenging employment market for finance graduates, this is an excellent result for WBS. I am especially pleased that we are ranked at five in the world for our graduates being employed within three months of graduation – a reflection of the strength and relevance of the course, the influence of our excellent careers services, and the recognition from recruiters of the quality of our graduates. WBS is among the elite group of UK business schools to be recognised as a Chartered Financial Analyst Programme Partner by the world-leading Institute.”
Warwick Business School has increased its Masters careers provision with new staff, one of them being a specialist from the finance sector, joining the WBSCareers Plus team.
WBS Careers Plus have also put in processes to provide students a lot more support and materials before they start their Masters course. This helps get the students into roles as soon as possible, especially as some company graduate schemes close shortly after the students begin their studies.
