World class: The School's Global Online MBA programme has been ranked second in the UK

Warwick Business School’s excellence in online learning has been demonstrated again by its Global Online MBA being ranked third in the world.

The Financial Times Online MBA 2025 Ranking also sees WBS named second in the UK with graduates boasting an average salary of $216,898, and enjoying an average 32 per cent salary increase.

The programme also ranks second globally in ‘career progress’, while the survey of graduates saw them give an overall satisfaction rating of 9.24 out of 10 for the flexible part-time course that can be done over two to five years.

Dean Andy Lockett, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, said: “We often say that Warwick Business School is for the Change Makers – those who want to change the world for the better. This ranking is testament to that culture and our commitment to excellence and innovation in business education.

“This is a fantastic achievement for the School and is very much down to the hard work of the staff and students involved. Our dedication to providing a transformative educational experience is certainly reflected in this latest ranking.”

Although the majority of the teaching is done online, there are also two residential weeks of face-to-face learning that can be taken at WBS London at The Shard or at the School’s Warwick campus.

Students will also benefit from the School’s £1.2 million SmartStage® technology. WBS is the first business school in Europe to use the extended reality (XR) teaching studio, which creates a truly immersive and interactive learning environment. Indeed, SmartStage® won the prestigious Best Digital Transformation 2025 award at the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards this year, with judges declaring it had set a new benchmark in digital education.

This sits alongside the my.wbs online platform, which the Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation body described as “one of the most sophisticated and best integrated business school systems that the AMBA panel has seen anywhere in the world”.

Course Director Mo Moeini added: “Traditional online teaching can feel impersonal, but our pioneering technology has transformed the way that the Global Online MBA course is delivered. We've created an immersive, interactive environment that enables deeper learning, more questions, and better discussions.

“Our Global Online MBA programme is designed to provide a transformative educational experience. The combination of rigorous academic content and practical application ensures our graduates are well-equipped to excel in their careers and bring their learning to their organisation.

“You'll gain a deep understanding of all the business functions, such as finance, marketing, and operations, which can enhance your strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

“Networking is another major advantage. MBA programmes connect you with a diverse group of professionals, including peers, faculty, and alumni, while the Global Online MBA really does connect you with people from all over the world.”
