In the City: Students studying at WBS London at The Shard where part-time MBA and Executive Education courses are taught

Warwick Business School has been ranked among the top three business schools in the UK and 15th in Europe by the Financial Times

In the prestigious annual Financial Times European Business Schools Ranking the national business newspaper has listed the top 100 schools in Europe.

The ranking combines the Financial Times’ four rankings over 2024 into one – the Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, Master's in Management and Executive Education.

WBS Dean Andy Lockett, Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy, said: “This is a great way to end the year and really demonstrates our all-round strength in postgraduate and Executive Education.

“We are working tirelessly to improve our educational experience, and to now be able to say we are one of the best three business schools in the UK is extremely satisfying.

“We have opened our revolutionary £1.2 million SmartStage® online teaching studio, used on our Global Online MBA, Accelerator MBA (London), and Master’s level courses, which has been shortlisted for the Digital Transformation Award by the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association.

“We are continuing to expand the courses on offer at WBS London at The Shard, especially in Executive Education. This is an area where demand is growing for short courses that can accelerate somebody’s career and bring their organisation up to speed in fast developing subjects like AI and digital technology.”

The School’s Full-time MBA programme was ranked sixth in the UK and 17th in Europe in 2024, while the Financial Times’ Executive MBA ranking placed the School fourth in the UK and 18th in Europe.

As for this year’s MSc Management ranking, Warwick Business School was ranked third in the UK and 30th in Europe, while for Executive Education the School was 21st in Europe for open programmes and 26th for closed courses.

To build on the success of the School’s Executive MBA, which can also be studied at WBS London at The Shard, the Accelerator MBA has been designed for early and mid-career professionals who want to develop their knowledge and skills without taking significant time out of work.

John Colley, Associate Dean (Commercial), emphasised the School’s ongoing efforts to enhance its offerings and maintain its upward trajectory.

“This ranking is very encouraging, especially as we are looking to expand our Executive Education courses this academic year,” he said.

“With our base at WBS London at The Shard, we are continuing to expand our part-time MBA offerings as well, giving people the chance to learn while surrounded by spectacular views across the River Thames and the financial heart of the capital.

“The pleasing aspect of being so highly ranked is that one of the largest weightings is salary, which indicates our graduates are moving into roles with more responsibility and into positions to positively impact the world.

“This is what we strive for at WBS: we are for the Change Makers and give students the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills to change their organisation and the world for the better.”
