Expanding: Many open Executive Education courses are held at WBS London at The Shard

Warwick Business School has joined a leading global consortium of Executive Education providers as it continues its growth in the field.

The School has received approval to join the Consortium for University Executive Education (UNICON), which has 115 members worldwide, including the likes of Harvard, INSEAD, IE Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management.

UNICON works to improve the Executive Education industry with conferences, research, benchmarking, sharing of best practices, staff development, and extensive networking opportunities among the world’s leading business schools.

Camilla Jonsson, Director of Executive Education at WBS, said: “The progress of WBS is an ongoing journey, with genuine energy invested by the team in recent years to develop our future in Executive Education.

“In a highly competitive market, we see huge value in the openness, effective use of resources, shared insights, and increased collaboration, that UNICON membership can deliver.

“WBS Executive Education is at the heart of a highly successful Business School that is for the Change Makers, those that challenge the norm and are committed to making a positive impact on society and the world.

“Joining UNICON as a member is a strategic move for the School, positioning it among the elite in Executive Education and providing a platform for continued growth and excellence.”

Warwick Business School’s Executive Education was ranked fifth in the UK and 21st in Europe by the Financial Times, in its ranking of open programmes

The School has a series of open programmes from Behavioural Science for Ethical Leaders and Negotiators and the Business Impacts of AI to Finance for Non-Finance Leaders and Leadership for a Complex World, with participants able to study and network with a group of executives from a range of business and industry backgrounds.

Many of the School’s open programmes are held at WBS London at The Shard, where participants can learn while enjoying stunning views across the heart of the City.

WBS also runs custom courses with organisations and global clients including the UK National Health Service (NHS), Emirates Group, and the UK Fire & Rescue Service, where the content is designed and tailored to suit the specific needs in developing senior leadership capability.

The UNICON consortium fosters the growth of university-based Executive Education by helping its members serve their clients better through building alliances, developing unique products and services, and providing outlets for collaboration. This collaborative environment enhances the professionalism, effectiveness, and leadership of university-based Executive Education departments.

The School’s focus is on enhancing leadership to deliver a sustained competitive advantage and more sustainable business by incorporating the latest online learning technologies and inputs from an extensive network of industry experts.

Andy Lockett, Dean of WBS and Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, said: “This membership not only enhances the School’s global standing, but also offers unparalleled opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and leadership in the Executive Education sector.”
