The re-branded Global Online MBA programme will retain its predecessor's world-class ranking with the Financial Times and QS.
Warwick Business School is offering participants on its world-class Global Online MBA programme more choice with the launch of three new specialisms.
The new additions to the programme will mean participants can combine core modules that build all-round business acumen with those specialising in Social and Environmental Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, or Healthcare.
The Global Online MBA is the new name for the school's Distance Learning MBA, which was the first programme of its kind in the UK and was introduced 35 years ago to improve access to business education, overcoming barriers such as geographical location. As technology developed, WBS was at the forefront, redesigning its course and creating its bespoke online learning platform my.wbs.
The Distance Learning MBA was recently named as the best in Europe by QS and the Global Online MBA will retain that place in the rankings.
It has also been ranked best in the world by the Financial Times for five of the last six years.
Now recruiting students for its next cohort in January 2024, the Global Online MBA will offer participants a more immersive ‘extended reality’ learning experience using a Smart Stage studio (which is currently in development) and Lightboard technology. WBS is one of the first business schools in the world to introduce new Smart Stage technology.
Andy Lockett, Dean of WBS and Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, said: “We are proud that our online MBA programme is consistently ranked as one of the best in the world.
“As leaders in online learning, we want to ensure that those interested in studying for an online MBA can find us easily alongside our competitors.
“Our newly re-branded Global Online MBA will provide participants with an even better experience, helping them to accelerate their career and build valuable business relationships around the globe.”
The Global Online MBA programme is designed for students with a minimum of three years professional experience.
The Social and Environmental Sustainability Specialism will equip participants with the tools to lead organisations towards ESG goals as well as financial ones.
The Entrepreneurship specialism will develop a creative mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to weigh opportunity and risk to make calculated decisions.
While the Healthcare specialism will help clinicians and healthcare managers to develop their leadership skills and deepen their understanding of digital innovation in healthcare.
