I was particularly interested in MSc Mathematical Finance because I wanted to learn more and further my knowledge of the financial industry and financial theory, whilst keeping the mathematical rigour that I was accustomed to at undergraduate level. The course appealed to me as it combines the University of Warwick’s Business School, Mathematics Institute and Statistics department – three world-renowned establishments. I really enjoyed the mathematical aspect of many of the theories, which made it accessible and interesting for someone with that mathematical background. I didn’t think I was a big computer person before starting the course, but soon learnt that I really enjoy the coding side too. This was particularly useful as coding is becoming increasingly present in the world of finance.
