MBA - I always knew I wanted to have these three magical letters next to my name. I attended numerous trade shows, spoke to many Business School representatives and alumni and could tell that Warwick Business School was the right place for me. I spoke to quite a few industry contacts, to make sure I was making the best decision as it’s a great investment and time commitment. My mentor, who is also an MBA graduate from Warwick (1992 class), re-assured me that it will be a one of a kind journey that will change me.
For me, attending the Executive MBA course is all about the network you create, the connections you make and the people you meet. WBS generates great opportunities to create those long-term relationships in a casual yet professional and super friendly environment. A very high level of attention and detail is put to allocating groups for coursework, in order to keep them as diverse as possible. This way you learn from each other and about each other. There are also numerous post-lecture events that are open to current students and alumni. You know that this is not just a network for ‘now’ but you can expand it as you progress in your career.
Taking the course, whilst working makes you implement what you learn immediately and provides you with opportunities to ‘try out’ what works best for your organisation. I’m a living example that being an Executive MBA student at WBS makes you confident in implementing changes and are equipped with all the tools that you may require in becoming a successful professional, the change maker, who can bring people on board as changes are happening.
