Our MSc Management students took a week-long trip to Milan, Italy to visit SDA Bocconi School of Management. We asked Akshada and Adwait to document their journey, and let us know how they got on.

Experts from Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Bain & Company consultants gave us valuable insights into global consumer behaviour in luxury industry in recent years, along with research on trends and future projections in the luxury market.

Akshada: Our days were dedicated to intensive classes and engaging discussions with renowned industry professionals as speakers. BCG provided valuable global consumer insights, highlighting the post-COVID recovery and spill over effect in the luxury industry.

Then the session by the senior managers of Bain & Company provided us with a comprehensive and contemporary understanding of the luxury goods market to develop effective business strategies within the luxury sector.

Adwait: We also got an understanding about the luxury industry from a financial perspective by understanding the role of investment funds, through the case of leading luxury investment fund company Style Capital. Marco Piscitelli, Managing Director of Molteni Group gave us an understanding of how the luxury furniture industry works.
